Analysis RunTime 2026

ExtendSim Analysis RunTime (ART) provides a cost-effective way to access the power of ExtendSim without purchasing a full Model Developer Edition license. Use ART to run, analyze, optimize, and experiment with simulation models that have been developed in ExtendSim Pro or ExtendSim CP.

ART enables you, your colleagues, and your clients to:

• Interactively run pre-built models, modify user-accessible settings, view animation, analyze results, and save changes. ⁽¹⁾
• Perform experimentation, optimization, and scenario analysis without requiring model-building capabilities.⁽¹⁾
• Off-load computationally intensive analyses to secondary computers to improve productivity. ⁽¹⁾
• Launch multiple ExtendSim instances with Multicore Analysis to accelerate simulation studies.
• Remotely execute models and exchange data between applications and computers through ExtendSim's Automation (ActiveX/COM) interface. ⁽²⁾
• Integrate ExtendSim into custom solutions by using ART as the simulation engine behind a specialized user interface. Use ExtendSim Cloud to make simulations available across your organization or over the Internet.⁽²⁾

Notes

1. Models must be created using a Model Developer Edition of ExtendSim, such as ExtendSim Pro or ExtendSim CP.
2. Running models remotely or integrating ExtendSim with custom applications requires programming. ExtendSim can be controlled through its Automation (ActiveX/COM) interface using languages that support COM technologies.

License Types

Subscription license

An ExtendSim ART Subscription license gives you continuous access to the latest release of ART — no upgrade costs, ever. An active Subscription includes:

• Access to all updates, patches, and compatibility fixes, plus upgrades to new major releases.
• Full technical assistance with installation, activation, troubleshooting, and basic usage questions.
• Predictable annual budgeting at a lower upfront cost for new licenses.
• Your work remains yours forever. If a Subscription is not renewed, ART will no longer launch; however, all models you are analyzing remain your property and are not tied to the Subscription.

Renew anytime if a Subscription lapses.

Best for: Teams who want a low entry price and simple annual pricing for the latest features, updates, upgrades, and support.

Perpetual license + Maintenance & Support Plan (MSP)

A Perpetual license provides permanent lifetime ownership of whichever ExtendSim product and release you purchase. Coupling a Perpetual License with an annual MSP provides ongoing access to technical support, product updates, major upgrades, and other benefits that help you maximize your ART investment. The first year of the MSP is included with every new Perpetual ExtendSim ART license. Maintaining an active MSP provides for:

• Access to all updates, patches, and compatibility fixes, plus upgrades to new major releases.
• Full technical assistance with installation, activation, troubleshooting, and basic usage questions.
• After the first year, MSP must be renewed annually to remain active. If MSP lapses, you may continue using your licensed ART release indefinitely, but you will no longer receive updates, upgrades, or MSP benefits.

Best for: Organizations that prefer long-term software ownership and want to avoid an expiring license.

License Options

Individual -- Choose an Individual license when ART will be used by a single user, or when multiple users each need dedicated, full-time access to ART. Purchase one license for each user's device. If you will be running an Individual license on a virtual machine or via RDP, contact the ExtendSim Team at Sales.ExtendSim@Andritz.com and provide the username so activation can be enabled.

Node-Locked -- Choose a Node-Locked license when ART will be installed on a single shared device. Multiple users can access and use ART on that device, but only one person can use it at a time. This option is ideal for computers in secure facilities, labs, or other controlled environments.

Note: Node-Locked licenses cannot be activated on virtual machines. For multiple users sharing a virtual machine, request a quote for a Floating license.

Floating -- A Floating license lets you install ART on as many machines as you need; the license server manages a pool of concurrent-use tokens, so any licensed user can check one out from any installed machine. This suits 3 or more people who use ART part-time, and also a single user who needs access from multiple machines (e.g. one for production work, one for development). Floating licenses are not available in the ExtendSim Store and must be ordered directly through Andritz Inc. or your ExtendSim Distributor.

• Create new databases, add records and fields, and manage simulation results.
• Run models that leverage ExtendSim 2026's new Python Bridge functionality to connect simulations with Python scripts, analytics libraries, AI frameworks, and external data sources developed by the model creator.
• Execute simulation models that incorporate Python-based calculations, machine learning algorithms, optimization routines, or data processing workflows developed in ExtendSim Pro or ExtendSim CP.
• Benefit from improved diagnostics, notifications, and troubleshooting tools introduced in ExtendSim 2026.
• Call COM DLLs and integrate with external applications through the ExtendSim automation interface.
• Use custom runtime libraries (.lbrrt) created by model developers. Includes runtime and standard versions of the libraries shipped with ExtendSim Pro.
• Supports Reliability Block Diagramming (RBD) models developed using the Reliability module.
• No limits on model size, run length, number of runs, or analysis duration.

Limitations of ART

• Models must be built using ExtendSim Pro or ExtendSim CP.
• ART cannot be used to build, edit, or reconfigure model structure manually.
• ART does not include model development capabilities for creating custom blocks.
• Example models and developer include files are not included.
• Remote execution and customized application integration require programming.
• Model-specific support is provided by the model developer.

System Requirements

Since simulation is processor-intensive, we recommend that your computer have a powerful central processing unit (CPU). The processor should be as fast as possible and it must be 64-bit. It is more important to have cores with a faster processing speed rather than simply having more cores.
